01 Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Kenya Community in Korea (“KCK”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) website at kenyakorea.com (the “Platform”), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Platform.
02 Nature of KCK
Kenya Community in Korea is a community-led organization serving Kenyan citizens and friends of Kenya residing in or visiting the Republic of Korea. We are operated by elected community leadership and volunteers.
03 Use of the Platform
You agree to use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these Terms. You agree not to:
- Submit false, inaccurate, or misleading information.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform, its systems, or other users' accounts.
- Upload malicious software, viruses, or harmful code.
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Platform without permission.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's operation or other users' access.
- Use the Platform to harass, abuse, or harm other members of the community.
- Post content that is unlawful, defamatory, discriminatory, or offensive.
04 User Accounts
Some features require you to create an account. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- All activities that occur under your account.
- Providing accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
- Updating your information to keep it current and accurate.
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or exhibit suspicious activity.
05 User Submissions
When you submit information through the Platform — including contact forms, embassy service requests, event registrations, or document uploads — you agree that:
- The information is truthful, accurate, and complete.
- You have the legal right to provide the information and documents.
- Submitted documents are authentic and not forged or altered.
- You grant KCK permission to process and forward your information as described in our Privacy Policy and Data Handling Statement.
06 Embassy Liaison Services
Our embassy liaison service assists members in preparing and coordinating requests to the Kenyan Embassy in Seoul. You understand that:
- KCK does not guarantee any particular outcome from the Embassy.
- Final decisions on applications rest solely with the Embassy of Kenya and Kenyan government authorities.
- Processing times and requirements are set by the Embassy and may change without notice.
- KCK may charge a modest facilitation fee (if any), which is separate from any Embassy fees.
- KCK is not responsible for delays, rejections, or issues caused by the Embassy or external factors.
07 Information Accuracy
While we strive to provide accurate and current information, content on the Platform is provided for general informational purposes only. Embassy fees, requirements, and processing times are set by the Kenyan government and may change at any time. For authoritative information on any consular matter, please contact the Embassy of Kenya directly.
08 Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform — including text, graphics, logos, images, photographs, and software — is the property of KCK or its content contributors, and is protected by Korean and international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without prior written permission.
Content you submit (testimonials, photos, feedback) remains your property, but by submitting you grant KCK a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and share it in connection with community activities and this Platform.
09 Third-Party Links
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites (including the Embassy of Kenya, government portals, and partner organizations). These links are provided for convenience only. We do not endorse and are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of external sites. Your use of third-party sites is governed by their own terms.
10 Disclaimer of Warranties
The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:
- The Platform will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
- Defects will be corrected in a timely manner.
- The Platform is free of viruses or other harmful components.

11 Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, KCK, its leaders, officers, volunteers, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform, including (but not limited to) loss of data, missed deadlines, application rejections, or financial loss.
12 Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, for any violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. You may also delete your account at any time through your profile settings or by contacting us.

Your use of the Platform is also subject to our Privacy Policy and Data Handling Statement, which explain how we collect, use, protect, and share your personal information. Please review these documents carefully.
